The shielding vacuum bag provides maximum ESD protection and a tight-sealing barrier for sensitive electronic components. The multilayer bag with metallized shielding offers optimal protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD), moisture, and mechanical stress, making it ideal for long-term storage and safe transport in ESD-protected environments. The bag features an effective moisture barrier and is especially suitable for vacuum packaging of moisture-sensitive components and printed circuit boards. For best results, it should be used together with the recommended amount of desiccant and a humidity indicator card (HIC). Typical applications include long-term storage, often in combination with desiccant bags, vacuum-sealed storage solutions, and the handling of particularly moisture-sensitive devices (MSD). The bag has a very low MVTR of less than 0.01 g/100 in² per 24 hours, is weldable, is marked with the product name, ESD symbol, recycling symbol, and batch number, and has a typical surface resistivity Rs of 10⁹–10¹⁰ ohms for both the inner and outer layers. It complies with the requirements of the IEC 61340-5-3 and MIL-B-81705 standards.
